Main Hall

The Main Hall is a flexible space which is licensed for 200 people and has been used for:

  • Weddings
  • Parties
  • Quiz Nights
  • Children's Parties
  • Rural Markets
  • Exhibitions
  • Sports Clubs
  • Meetings
  • Presentations
  • Corporate Away Days

The Hall is licensed for the sale of alchohol and has a kitchen which is suitable for professional caterers as well as family friends. 

Considerable investment has been made in the acoustic elements of the hall to make sure that weddings, parties and other social gatherings are an enjoyable experience.

Upper Hall

Upper Hall

The hall upstairs is licensed for 100 people and can be used separately or in conjunction with the rest of the facilities.

The area is light and airy with stunning views over the countryside and the outside steps lead directly to the garden area.

The Upper Hall can be used for;

  • smaller parties or family get togethers;
  • a separate hall if used in conjunction with the Main Hall with space for children's activities or an adult getaway!
  • teas or coffees;
  • children's parties;
  • meetings or presentations;
  • groups or clubs.

Meeting Room

Meeting Room

There is a smaller room attached to the main hall which can provide for an alternative activity.

For example it has been used as:

  • a "quiet" area during parties and weddings
  • as a photo studio for taking pictures of your guests
  • a casino
  • for your buffet

 It is also suitable for small meetings and tables are available to set up as a committee meeting.

Bar

Bar

The bar is licensed for the sale of alcohol on the premises providing that it is managed by a member of the Village Hall Committee.

The bar has a general stock but can be adapted to meet your specific needs:

  • beer and/or lager on draught
  • barrels of beer
  • bottled beer, lager and cider
  • range of spirits and mixers
  • red, white, rose wines as well as prosecco and champagne
  • soft drinks

We will discuss your requirements before the date of your event.  If special items are purchased but not fully used (and cannot be used for a subsequent event) then they may need to be recharged - this will be made clear in advance).

The Hall will provide the bar staff for your event and are able to serve welcome drinks and top up during meals and speeches if required.

The kitchen is designed for use by professional caterers or just family volunteers!

The Stainless Steel kichen facilities include:

  • 2 electric ovens and hobs
  • Electric warming drawers
  • 2 commercial sized fridges
  • Commercial Washer
  • Microwave
  • Linkat water heater

Outside Area

Outside Area

The Hall has a small garden area which provides for a lovely gathering area.

It can be used for:

  • BBQ or Pig Roasts;
  • A Gazebo;
  • Tables and Chairs;

Next to the Hall is the Charles Cowper Field, this is a large field owned by the Parish Council and offers the opportunity for children to play games and use the play equipment.  In addition by special arrangement can be used for a marquee or for example a bouncy castle or other play equipment.

Parking

Parking is available for the Hall although care is needed for busy events.
